What is it?

Hypnotherapy is practiced by a trained and certified professional. Only a hypnotherapist may use hypnotherapy to work with mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), smoking addiction, healthy weight loss, performance anxiety, social anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, child hood trauma, and chronic stress to name a few.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is defined as a harmless altered trance state characterized by very deep relaxation, highly focused attention, and an accentuated openness to positive suggestions to facilitate positive and meaningful therapeutic changes.

When hypnosis is used for therapeutic approaches, specific and personalized suggestions and images given to people in a trance can alter their behavior in a positive manner. When in a state of hypnosis you are more inclined to experience permanent change and more likely to be successful in making the lasting changes you desire. Almost all lasting change happens in the subconscious mind, where 90% of our beliefs, childhood programing and behavioral patterns are stored.

Hypnosis is most therapeutically effective when used in conjunction with psychotherapy and lifestyle changes. Hypnosis makes behavioral change and deep insights available with greater ease and less time spent in therapy, as it facilitates long term and sustainable change.

My Approach?

I believe that we are all whole, healthy and peaceful beneath the many limiting programs and harmful beliefs that we inevitably absorb unconsciously in early childhood. Despite our best efforts with exercise, nutrition, medication, coaching, and years of therapy, we can still find ourselves repeating the same patterns to our own dismay. The mind can be a palace or a prison. I believe the unconscious mind holds the self-protecting beliefs and patterns which no longer serve us. Therefore the healing happens in attending , befriending, and communicating with the subconscious mind to install new beliefs and programs for deeper, more sustainable healing and change. Whether you believe in neuroscience, spirituality or both, hypnotherapy can help you emerge into the light of your own life and self-love as you were intended to.

Who can hypnotherapy help?

Anyone and everyone, as long as they are in agreement and consenting to the process. If you do not want to be guided into hypnosis, than it will not work. This is why there is no such thing as being made to do or say something that you do not want to do. You cannot be hypnotized if you do not want to be.
